Paragraph:
After reviewing the numbers from Belgium's top five citys' populations, the country would fall under the category of rank-size rule. The country follows this rule pretty accuratley as shown in the numbers. To be exact, Antwerp would have to be one half the size of Brussels. Instead it has fourty-five percent of the population of Brussels which is still very close. Ghent has twenty two percent the population of Brussels as opposed to the one third it should have. Charleroi has twenty percent the population and Liège has eighteen percent the population which are both pretty close to the amount they should have. Another fact that helps a person come to the conclusion that Belgium follows rank-size rule is that the country does not follow primate city rule. Antwerp would have to be substantially smaller than Brussels to even qualify for primate city rule which it does not. With all of this in mind, Belgium must follow rank-size rule based on all of the criteria it meets.
